Peter Murphy Channels David Bowie on Second Tribute Night at lpr

Peter Murphy's second David Bowie Tribute Show at (le) poisson rouge in NYC on Friday night would have made the thin white duke quite proud. Mark Gemini Thwaite on guitar, Emilio Zef China on bass and violin and Marc Slutsky on drums accompanied Murphy on his run of residency shows at lpr, both before his heart attack mid-run in August of 2019 as well as the rescheduled dates in January.

The run of residency shows ended with this show and a packed venue that grooved to "Suffragette City," "Queen Bitch, " "Rebel Rebel," "The Jean Genie" and much more. The encores were especially powerful including "Heroes" and "Space Oddity" which had the band and Murphy playing the song, laying on their backs on the stage.
